"What is ICAN?"
ICAN stands for Individual and Collective Advocacy Network. We provide opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to connect, share and learn. On our weekly Zoom calls, ICAN members can connect with others, hear from different presenters, and give feedback on Inclusion Saskatchewan projects. Members can also have the chance to take part in Inclusion Saskatchewan committees and presentations. ICAN also has yearly in-person workshops where members can come together to learn and share with each other. ICAN members get to choose how involved they want to be and what they would like to participate in.”
"Who Can Join ICAN?"
Anyone who identifies as having an intellectual disability and is 18 or older can join ICAN. We define an intellectual disability as someone who has a diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability, and people who identify as neurodivergent. This includes autistic people as well as people with FASD or ADHD. If you are 18 and over, and identify as having a disability, you are welcome to join ICAN!
