It is with deep sadness that Inclusion Saskatchewan shares the death of Jamie Ellis.

Jamie was a board member of Inclusion Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Institute on Community Living. He was a fierce self-advocate and beloved member of our community. We are grateful for his leadership as one of the first members of ICAN, creating our plain language resources, and helping with our committees and advocacy initiatives over the years.

Jamie’s dedication to advocating with people with intellectual disabilities created the foundation that our work is built on. We are incredibly grateful for Jamie’s passionate involvement in our work and we also recognize his impact on the broader inclusion movement in Saskatchewan.

Jamie will be remembered for his joyful spirit, the meaningful relationships he built, his passion for advocacy, and his willingness to share his story to help make the world a more inclusive place.
