Christina Martens-Funk Appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Inclusion Saskatchewan

Saskatoon, SK: Inclusion Saskatchewan (INSK) and Community Living are pleased to announce the appointment of Christina Martens-Funk as its new Chief Executive Officer. Christina brings a wealth of experience in social change, strategic leadership, and community engagement. Her appointment follows a rigorous and professional hiring process conducted by the INSK Executive Committee.


Bluesette Campbell, Chair of the Board, expressed her enthusiasm about the new leadership: "We are thrilled to welcome Christina Martens-Funk as our new CEO. Her deep understanding of inclusion, her commitment to fostering a more supportive and equitable community and her CPA background make her the perfect leader to guide Inclusion Saskatchewan into the future. We have full confidence in her ability to drive our mission forward and create impactful change for people with intellectual disabilities."


Christina Martens-Funk shared her excitement: "I am honoured to step into this new role with Inclusion Saskatchewan as the Chief Executive Officer. I have been with the organization for nearly 10 years, and it has a remarkable legacy of support and advocacy toward the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. I am eager to work alongside our dedicated team as we continue to collaborate with people with lived experience and expand this important work. Together, we will build on the strong foundation already in place, enhancing our community-led programs and expanding our reach to make meaningful gains in the inclusion movement."


One of Christina’s first major initiatives as CEO will be leading the preparations for the upcoming Inclusion Fundraising Breakfast 2024, a vital event dedicated to celebrating and supporting the incredible work done by Inclusion Saskatchewan.


"Hosting the Inclusion Fundraising Breakfast is a key priority for me as CEO," said Christina. "This event is more than just a fundraiser; it’s an opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate our successes, share powerful stories, and rally support for the essential work we do. Please join us on October 3, 2024, as we come together to strengthen our mission and continue advocating for inclusion across Saskatchewan."

As one of Saskatchewan’s leading non-profit organizations, Inclusion Saskatchewan is building and inspiring an inclusive Saskatchewan by empowering and valuing people with intellectual disabilities. Our annual Fundraising Breakfast is a cornerstone event that brings together community leaders, businesses, and advocates to create awareness and raise essential funds to continue our mission of fostering a more inclusive and supportive community for all. Contributions to our work will help create employment opportunities, strengthen support systems, and promote self-advocate leadership.
