Just like Spiderman, we all have a “spidey sense.” Your spidey sense is that intuitive feeling you get when you think something is not quite right with your child at school. We know that our child’s success in school is related to your level of engagement with school, therefore it is of utmost importance for parents and caregivers to get involved early.
Common reasons to get involved include:
Your child is complaining about being treated poorly or not wanting to go to school
You are concerned about your child’s progress
You are concerned about your child’s classroom placement
You see signs of changed behaviour(s) in your child.
If your spidey sense is going off for any of these reasons, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher. The earlier, the better.
