The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL)’s Board of Directors is recruiting
youth to sit in an advisory capacity on the SACL’s Board of Directors.
Being an Ambassador will help you unlock your potential as a young leader and gain valuable
tools most people your age do not have access to! Great opportunities and experiences for
youth ages 15-18 to be part of the SACL Youth Ambassador initiative.
Where: One ambassador will be selected from the province of Saskatchewan.
Who: Youth ages 15–18 years old
˘ Who want to make a difference
˘ Who are interested in connecting their community to the larger provincial community.
˘ Who are acting in everyday ways to effect change for individuals that the SACL supports.
Selection Criteria:
˘ Community involvement
˘ Reason for becoming a Youth Ambassador
˘ Two completed Reference Letters. A reference person can be a teacher, a coach, a person of authority, or other adult outside of your family who knows you well.
Essay questions:
˘ Why do you think it’s important to be involved with your community? (Think about how your involvement benefits yourself, others, and your community.)
˘ Describe three (3) things you have done in your life that you are proud of, and explain why you are proud of these accomplishments.
˘ Why do you want to be a SACL Youth Ambassador?
