About the Event
Access to sexual health education is a human right. Yet, people with intellectual disabilities are often removed from conversations about sexual health in the education system, however, obstacles to access this kind of information does not end here. Adults with intellectual disabilities also face many barriers to accessing comprehensive sexual health education from the agencies that support them, be it day programs, group homes, or approved private service homes. In this Facilitator’s Network meeting, we will be discussing these hurdles and ways to address them.
