About the Event
We will be joined by Sheila Anderson, Inclusion Saskatchewan’s Manager of Employment and Transitions, to have a conversation about how parents can best support their teens and young adults with intellectual disability in making the transition into adulthood. There are countless decisions that each individual has to make during this transition, and we understand the stress that this puts on a parent and the family as a whole. This session will include ideas and suggestions on how to support your family members as they progress into post-secondary education, day programs, or join the workforce, as well as deciding on where and with whom they will live, and we’ll discuss how a parent can take care of themselves through this stressful period.
Registration is open to registered Family Network members right up until June 22nd.
