About the Event
Tell It Like It Is (TILII) is a sexual health and wellness education program designed for people who experience intellectual disabilities. This Facilitator's Training event is intended for people who would like to teach TILII in their community but would like more information, tools, and/or support before doing so. This training is designed to help build confidence in facilitating the program.
This is a two day event. You will automatically be registered for both days upon registration.
The first afternoon will cover the background of TILII, the history of sexual health education for people with intellectual disabilities, and best practices for teaching sexual health education from experienced facilitators.
The second day will cover course topics and provide a chance for participants to practice teaching the material.
Note: This training is not required to facilitate TILII, but is intended as an option for potential facilitators to build confidence in the curriculum and their own facilitation skills.
